Michael “Tiger” Schroeder

Biography

Michael Schroeder was born and raised on the inner city streets of New Orleans by a strict yet comedic father and a somewhat bohemian mother. Michael took life's lessons in stride, making his way through the city's unique urban thoroughfares. His passion for art began at an early age, initially drawing and sketching for his teachers as barter for getting out of doing homework; eventually, designing and painted banners for his high school class that would symoblize their path to adulthood. Michael went on to attend the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts and Delgado Community College. He then served honorably in the US Army and Louisiana National Guard. After his military service, he went down the artists' path, working as a sign painter, graphic designer, and silk screener before discovering tattooing, a love that would change the trajectory of his life.

Michael, who professionally goes by "Tiger," is currently a tattooer at Covenant Tattoos in Fort Collins, Colorado. he has over 20 years of experience working in a wide variety of tattoo styles. Before coming to Fort Collins, Michael was the owner (and tattooer) at Crescent City Tattoo and Hammon City Tattoo in Louisiana. He was very active in the Louisian art scene, being a member of the Hammond Regional Arts Center and Louisian Arts Council Michael is always willing to donate his time and talents to the community.
